soooooo as was expected i'm already falling off the update schedule, but that's what happens during wedding season. i'm going to try my best to keep up, but unfortunately a lot of what i'm working on now i don't want to post, since it'll either end up in my wedding or someone else's for whatever reason. however every once in a while i scribble something that i think i can safely share. for example:


i don't know what it is, but it has a monroe piercing. and nice lips. admit it, you wouldn't kick her out.



and just bc i love this one i'm putting it up. it's old, i scribbled it in 2007, but it's always going to be a favourite of mine. i'll always be fascinated with indian dance, i wish i had learned to do it. i'd learn now, but my brittle 26 year old body probably couldn't take it ;)

so here's a double shot since this is the only day this week i have to update. i really haven't been able to get much out this week, i have a lot of pages with a lot of bad doodles on them, but that's how it goes sometimes. i'm starting to get back into colour, and would love to start posting some of that shtuff. we'll see though. evidently, above and below is what comes out when i'm not really thinking about it.



this is essentially the product of Vogue and The First 48. i'll admit it though, i'm having a lot of fun doodling again. in the near future i'd like to start on a series of illustrations thatcould be good times. we'll see though if there's time. this is, after all, the year of the wedding... mine, yours and everybody else's it seems.

I didn't appreciate how rusty I've gotten in terms of drawing for the sake of drawing until tonight. It felt awkward, I'm not used to it anymore. It's a bad rut to be in. It also could have had to do with the return to pencil and paper, as well as the Hoarders marathon that was SO distracting [damn you A&E!]. Either way, I can't wait to get myself out of this rut. It may be girly fluff, but I made sure I had something to put up!

So here's the very first post of my very new blog. There needed to be a starting over, especially since the last post on Scribbles and Such is 3 years old and nothing on there is reflective of how I've changed as a person and scribbler. I fully intend to keep up with this blog because I fully intend to actually do some drawings. Hopefully.

The bear wrestler here isn't all that new, I did it over the summer but it always makes me happy when I look at it. Why is he a bear? And wrestling? These are the questions to which we will never have answers. Either way, it's up. Yay!
